2 fires hit Caloocan
MANILA, Philippines – Two fires struck Caloocan City Wednesday morning despite heavy rains in Metro Manila although no one was reported hurt, an officer from the National Capital Region Bureau of Fire Protection said.
Inspector Omar Holganza said fire hit a commercial establishment at Phase 3, Kanlaon in Bagong Silang and a residential area along Sinilyasi St. in Sugpo, Dagat-dagatan.
The first fire broke out at 4:30 a.m. and reached third alarm before being put out at 7:35 a.m. while the second occurred at 10:36 a.m. and put out at 10:48 a.m.
Investigators are gathering information to determine the cause of the fires and extent of the damages, Holganza said.
