De Lima defends Baraan, dares Sandra Cam to prove allegations

MANILA, Philippines–Justice Secretary Leila De Lima dared whistle-blower Sandra Cam to prove her allegations against a senior official of the Department of Justice.

De Lima said she has full trust and confidence in Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan.

Cam accused Baraan of involvement in illegal activities in the national penitentiary.

She said she has not received any credible report and information on Cam’s allegations.

“Dalawa lang ang pwedeng gawin ng nag-aakusa, una, panindigan at patunayan ang akusasyon o kaya ay manahimik,” De Lima told reporters.

(Sandra Cam can only do two things: stand by her allegations and prove them or she better shut up.)
