Knights try to recover

Games today:

The Arena

2 p.m. – Letran vs. St. Benilde

4 p.m. – EAC vs. Mapua

THE LETRAN Knights will try to bounce back from their first loss when they face off against up-and-down St. Benilde Blazers today in the 87th NCAA basketball tournament over at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Knights are coming off a 62-71 defeat against the streaking San Sebastian Stags.

Letran (3-1) will be gunning for their fourth win in five games in their bid to overtake the Lyceum Pirates (4-3) for second spot.

Despite their built-in advantages up front, the Knights face a Blazers team which lost to defending champioin San Beda College by a mere point, 79-78, last week. The close decision should help instill confidence to the Blazers as they try to put another good fight against the Knights.

In the other game, Emilio Aguinaldo College (2-1) face the winless Mapua Cardinals (0-4)./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
