NBI puts in custody Aman Futures’ finance manager—De Lima
MANILA, Philippines–The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has put in its protective custody the financial manager of Aman Futures Philippines Inc., Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said Tuesday.
De Lima said Donna Coyme was coordinating with the government’s ongoing investigation in what can be considered the country’s largest ponzi scheme.
De Lima told reporters that she was studying Coyme’s affidavit if she would be qualified to become state witness.
Coyme was a tutor of the child of one of Aman Futures official Fernando Luna before she was encouraged to join the company. In her affidavit she said she managed to process about P500 million in investments.
She said her task was to issue checks to investors and organize Aman Futures’ records.
