A MAN suffered burns on his forehead and eyes after his brother splashed muriatic acid on his face during a mediation hearing at the barangay hall in San Roque, Talisay City last Sunday morning.

Ladislao Ronato was rushed to the hospital for treatment. His brother Pedro, 62, of barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City was detained at the Talisay police station after the incident.

Investigation showed that the barangay lupon (mediation council) members were trying to find a solution to the brother’s misunderstanding over a house rent when Pedro who was carrying a water bottle with a yellow liquid inside suddenly opened the bottle and splashed its contents on his brother’s face.
