/ 07:21 AM November 20, 2012

REPORTS of sightings of a leader of a big-time robbery gang from Mindanao in barangay Cabancalan in Mandaue City last Saturday prompted calls from the police for vigilance and to report any suspicious people in business establishments.

Security guards should jot down plate numbers of vehicles getting in and out of their establishments and those parked near the areas they’re guarding.

Chief Insp. Michael Anthony Bastes, chief of Investigation and Detection Management Branch (IDMB) said they were issuing the call after reports of sightings in sitio Pilit of Eduardo “Eddie” Doblesa, suspected leader of a big-time robbery gang in Mindanao.

Doblesa was involved in a series of robberies in banks, pawnshops and other big establishments not only in  Mindanao but  also in Luzon and Visayas areas. /Correspondent Jucell Marie P. Cuyos
