4 Cebu squads to join Carrera Habagat 2012
FOUR TEAMS from Cebu are expected to participate in the Carrera Habagat 2012, which will kick off Thursday.
The four are Team OZ Racing, Kombate, Coat/Azimuth and Danao. Among the four, only Danao has yet to confirm its participation while the rest are sure competitors.
Joining the Cebu teams in the competition are Luzon-based teams L-M Studio, ROX, Pitman, University of Santo Tomas (UST), Conquer and Ramons. Mindanao-based teams are Natnat of Davao, Iligan Pride and Panahik.
The race briefing will be held tomorrow while the race proper will be on Thursday morning until Sunday. The venue for the briefing and starting point will be announced later, according to Habagat Sales and Marketing officer Ryan Luig.
The outdoor adventure race features different challenges such as kayaking, rapelling, mountain biking, running and swimming.
The upcoming tournament serves as the highlight of Habagat’s silver anniversary this year. The last edition of this race was held last 2008./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
