PHNOM PENH — Southeast Asian leaders began their annual summit on Sunday in the Cambodian capital, with the day of talks expected to focus on maritime territorial rows and ethnic unrest in Myanmar.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen opened the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations event, which will expand on Monday into an East Asia Summit involving leaders of 18 countries including US President Barack Obama.
