CALL CENTER AGENT ROBBED

A CALL center agent was robbed by two men on a motorcycle in barangay Bakilid, Mandaue City.

A tearful Emma Fe Paran, 25, reported to the police that she was waiting for a ride in A. S. Fortuna Street whe she was robbed at gunpoint past 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

The victim said a backrider of motorcycle approached her and pointed a gun at her while declaring a hold-up.

She said the robber took her wallet with P2,500 cash and a mobile phone worth P16,000.

The woman said the robber had a tattoo marked ‘Helen’ in the right shoulder.

LABORER STABBED DEAD

A CONSTRUCTION worker was stabbed dead after he stopped a fight in barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.

Simeon Intes, 22, died from a a stab wound in the chest. His alleged attacker, Arley Sil of Cordova town fled after the incident.

Police said Intes was walking home after playing basketball when he saw a commotion between his cousin identified as Poloy and Sil around 3 p.m. last Wednesday.

When Intes intervened, he was confronted by Sil.

This led to an argument and the knife attack.

Intes was taken to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital but was declared dead by the attending doctor.

MAN FOUND DEAD IN BARILI

THE body of a 49-year-old man was found floating in a river in barangay Poblacion, Barili town, southwestern Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Alex Dandan, who was reportedly an epileptic.

Police said Dandan was last seen alive swimming in the river around 5 p.m. last Tuesday.
