SLEx lanes closed Nov. 17 for overpass project

/ 11:07 PM November 15, 2012

The northbound lanes of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) will be closed to traffic tomorrow, Nov. 17 (Saturday), from 11:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. of Nov. 18 (Sunday) to give way to work on the Bilibid Overpass, a project of the Department of Public Works and Highways, according to the SLEx operator.

In a statement, Manila Toll Expressway Systems Inc. (Mates), said northbound lanes of SLEx from Susana Heights to South Green Heights will be closed for what it said was “girder launching” by the DPWH for the overpass.

On Nov. 22, southbound lanes also from Susana Heights to South Green Heights will be closed from 11:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. of Nov. 23 for the same reason, said Mates.

Counterflow traffic will be implemented on the 1.4-km stretch. Traffic and safety signs will be installed and traffic enforcers will be deployed to guide motorists, Mates said.

Mates said motorists may call the SLEx hotline 0917-6877539 to request assistance.
