THE Bureau of Customs skippered by triggerman Jingjing Rama kept its unbeaten record intact in the Association of Regional Executives in National Agencies (ARENA), Region 7 2012 basketball tournament after routing the Court of Appeals (CA), 82-56, last Tuesday at the DPWH covered court in the South Road Properties.
Customs led by a single-digit in the first two quarters but tore the game wide open in the third with a scorching, 33-4 blast starring Jingjing Rama, three-point artist Bingo Matugas and small forward Boodee Monteño that helped them erect their biggest lead at, 63-25, heading to the final 10 minutes of the contest.
CA outscored Customs in the fourth, 31-19 but failed to snatch the victory as the latter had already piled up enough points to seal the lopsided win.
Boodee Monteño led Customs with 14 points while Jingjing Rama and Bingo Matugas added 11 points apiece. Robert Angco and AR Verano paced the losing CA with 17 and 15 points, respectively.
