UST student falls to death on campus

A junior biology student of the University of Santo Tomas died on Monday night, hours after he fell from the fourth floor of the main building, the school’s student publication said in a report.

The victim was identified as Jonah Ortiz but it was not clear if he jumped or fell by accident.

Some students who were at the second floor went on Twitter to say that they saw someone fall from the fourth floor around 2 p.m.

One of the witnesses, a pharmacy student, was undergoing stress debriefing, the Varsitarian reported.

Ortiz was rushed to the UST Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:40 p.m. Erika Sauler
