MANDAUE City Mayor Jonas Cortes yesterday left for a six-day visit to Japan to attend the first anniversary of the Asia Public and Private Partnership in Tokyo.
The mayor will also follow up the city’s partnership with Toyo University on renewable energy, solid waste management, traffic system and electric cars.
“They have considered many projects. It is up to them which they will prioritize,” said Roger Paler, head of the Public Information Office.
Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede is the acting mayor until Cortes returns on Saturday.
