Man run over by bus in Laguna

A man was killed when he fell off his motorcycle and was run over by a bus in Calamba City early Monday.

Roberto Hernandez, of Pasay City, was driving his motorcycle at 9:40 a.m. when he tried to overtake a jeepney in Barangay (village) Real but slipped on the rain-soaked road. He landed near the road’s center aisle and was hit and run over by a bus coming from the opposite lane, according to case investigator PO2 Eduardo Cruz.

The Greenstar Express bus, driven by Rodel Corio, was bound for Manila from Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Corio was arrested and would be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, Cruz said. Maricar P. Cinco, Inquirer Southern Luzon
