MANILA, Philippines – Due to bad weather, the Senate suspended its session on Tuesday and sent its employees home.

Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III immediately moved for the suspension of the session when it opened a little past 3:00 p.m.

But before voting on Sotto’s motion, the chamber first acted on some pending measures on the floor.

After just minutes of discussion, the Senate moved to adopt the motion and decided to also send its employees home.
