YOUNG MAN SHOT, HURT

A TEENAGER was shot and wounded by a motorcycle-riding assailant in barangay North Poblacion, Naga City, southern Cebu.

Marjun Montalban, 19, sustained a gunshot wound in the right arm.

The victim was aboard a multicab when he was shot past p.m. last Saturday.

Police said two men on a motorcycle  tailed the multicab that Montalban rode on and signaled him to disembark.

Montalban ignored the two motorcycle riders.

The assailants drove beside the multicab and shot the victim.

Montalban was brought to the Minglanilla District Hospital.

ARMED TRIKE DRIVER NABBED

A 34-YEAR-OLD tricycle driver was arrested by police after he was caught carrying a firearm and a pack of suspected shabu in barangay Umapad, Mandaue City.

Police said a home-made revolver with two bullets was seized from Jason Luarez’s possession.

Members of the Opao police went to sitio Pilapil after receiving an armed person alarm early morning yesterday.

PO1 Melvin Pelayo, desk officer of the Opao police station, said responding police spotted the man in the area with a gun tucked in his waist.

Police frisked the man and found the gun and the pack of suspected drugs in his possession.
