MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE) A couple was arrested Tuesday night for possession of illegal drugs, a police spokesperson told Inquirer.net Wednesday.
According to Southern Police District (SPD) spokesperson Chief Inspector Jenny Tecson, Pasay City police Southern Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force arrested Ferdinand Ocampo a.k.a. Ferdie and his wife Eva Ocampo at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in their home in Goquiolay Street, Barangay (village) T, Zone 1, Pasay City.
Tecson stated that authorities based their raid on a search warrant issued by Judge Pedro Corrales of Regional Trial Court Branch 118 in Pasay City. The SPD spokesperson said that lawmen confiscated more or less 15 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu.”
The couple were taken into custody by the Pasay City police while investigation on their case was being conducted, said Tecson. She added that they have referred the information on the arrest to RTC 118.
