THE high school batch who graduated in 1977 from the Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion (CIC) will mark its coral jubilee with activities lined up for Dec. 1 to 5.
Thirty-five years since their high school graduation, members of batch ’77 will open reunion activities with a welcome brunch at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 at the Don Merto’s Restaurant at Casa Escaño, Cebu City.
The next day, Dec. 2, will be the CIC homecoming from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the school premises and auditorium. The homecoming will include a Mass, dance presentations per batch, awarding of selected alumni members and fellowship.
On Dec. 3, batch ’77 members will hold their own fun reunion, dubbed as “70s Night,” of disco dancing to the music of the 1970s from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Don Merto’s.
On Dec. 4, the bonding will continue at the Vel-Ouano Beach House in Maribago, Mactan until Dec. 5, the last day of the reunion. Prior to the reunion, batch members will join a medical mission and an outreach program organized by the CIC Alumni Association.

TODAY, the University of San Jose-Recoletos and the Recoletos de Cebu Law Alumni Association, Inc., celebrate grand alumni homecoming of all USJ-R Law graduates.
Activities will start at 6 p.m. at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu North Reclamation Area, Cebu City.

Jehovah’s Witnesses set district conventions
THE Jehovah’s Witnesses’ 2012 “Safeguard Your Heart!” district conventions will be held at Lapu-Lapu City Hoops Dome on Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 and at the New Cebu Coliseum in Cebu City from Dec. 7 to Dec. 9.
The Witnesses’ convention program will emphasize how protecting the figurative heart will enhance one’s spiritual well-being, family life and happiness through lively discourses, Bible readings and presentations and a live play.
The daily themes and titles of program parts are based on Bible passages. Strengthening one’s spirituality will be the focus of the program.
Admission is free. Around 10,000 individuals will come to Lapu-Lapu City Hoops Dome and Cebu Coliseum for the Bible-based programs.
