GENERAL TRIAS, Cavite—Vice President Jejomar Binay, chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, awarded a total of 3,260 certificates of lot awards, or CELA, to informal settlers on a parcel of land previously owned by the Philippine National Railways (PNR) in the towns of Tanza and Kawit and in Bacoor City, Cavite.
Distributed were 1,516 CELAs covering 32.7 hectares in Tanza; 1,100 CELAs covering an 11-ha land in Kawit; and 644 CELAs covering 13.53 hectares in Bacoor City.
Also on Tuesday, the vice president and the housing finance firm Home Guarantee Corp. handed out land titles to 53 property buyers in General Trias town. The title recipients were property owners in General Trias Homes, La Chesa Heights in Quezon City and Las Palmas Subdivision in Sto. Tomas Batangas. Maricar Cinco, Inquirer Southern Luzon
