Woman held up in Mandaue road

A teenager was arrested after allegedly robbing a woman along Ouano Avenue, North Reclation Area, Mandaue City, on Sunday evening.

Victor Urot Jr., 18, of Tabogon, north Cebu, is now detained in Subangdaku police station.

Police said Gennyl Nicor, 19, was on her way to work when two men declared a holdup while poking a bladed weapon at  her waist.

One robber grabbed her bag, which had a cellular phone  and  P150 cash inside, before fleeing.

A passerby, Alberto Pañares, 33, was able to catch Urot   and turn him over to the police.

A 10-inch knife was recovered from Urot, who will be charged with robbery.
