AIR FORCE MAN FACES CHILD ABUSE RAPS

A 32-YEAR-OLD Air Force man was arrested by police on accusations that he has been living with a 15-year-old girl  in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.
Airman 1st Class Marlo Bocog of  the Philippine Air Force based in  Mactan Benito Ebuen Airbase in Lapu-Lapu faces child abuse charges.
The girl’s parents sought the help of police after their daughter failed to go home since October 28.
The girl is a fourth year student at Marigondon National High School.
The parents learned of their daughter’s whereabouts through her classmate who said she had  a friend from the Air Force living in sitio Sudtongan in Basak.
Accompanied by parents, police went to the sito and found Bocog and the girl near the house where they live.
Bocog told police that he didn’t force the girl to live with him. He said she decided not to go  home yet.
Police said the girl admitted that she and Bocog had a relationship but she was threatened not to go home.
Police said the girl was brought to a hospital in Cebu City for a medical examination.

P18,000 LOST IN OFFICE

CASH worth P18,000 was stolen from a company owned by a Chinese national in barangay Lower Tabok, Mandaue City.
Police suspect an inside job in the theft  of Marscel Marketing owned by Mark Anthony Dy Po, 34,  of barangay Labogon, Mandaue.
SPO1 Dionesio Dela Peña of the Basak police station said investigators found no signs of forced entry in the office.
Po said the missing money was kept in a drawer.
Police said Rhu Xin, a close friend of Po who lives in the same  building,  contacted the victim after discovering the burglary   past 3 a.m. last Thursday./CORRESPONDENT FE MARIE D. DUMABOC
