No break for MRT, LRT personnel

Metro Manila’s three overhead light train systems will remain open this long weekend despite the anticipated drop in the number of passengers with most residents expected to go home to their respective provinces.

Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) spokesperson Hernando Cabrera said all three train lines would follow their normal weekday and weekend schedules, except for LRT Line 1 which will close an hour early on Thursday, November 1.

“We always try our best to keep the trains running no matter what. Even during typhoons, if our trains can handle the weather, then we keep going,” he added.
