The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) was founded in 1924 through Dr. Regino R. Ylanan who used to head physical education at the University of the Philippines, one of the original members of the NCAA. As of last season, the NCAA has nine member schools and features 10 regular sports.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
