MANILA, Philippines – Fair weather has been forecast to prevail from Nov. 1 to Nov. 4, but some areas, especially in Northern Luzon, are likely to have rains.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its weather outlook for the long weekend that no storms were expected to develop and only light rains in some parts of the country will be brought by the Northeast Monsoon.

“Northern Luzon will have good weather condition on the 31st of October. From All Saints Day (Nov. 1) to November 4, 2012, light rains will be experienced over the area due to the expected passage of the tail-end of cold front,” the weather outlook said.

“Eastern Visayas and the whole of Mindanao will have scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the approach of a low pressure area on Wednesday and Thursday (October 31 and November 1) and the tail-end of cold front on Friday until Sunday (November 2-4),” it added.
