Suspect in Korean abduction wanted for murder case

ONE of the Filipino suspects in the kidnapping of a Korean national has a pending warrant of arrest for murder.

Richard Dealagdon has a pending warrant of arrest for murder issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Simeon Dumdum of Branch 7 last Oct. 7, 2010, said Chief Insp. Romeo Santander, City Intelligence Branch chief.

Santander said they were still checking, who was the victim in the case against Dealagdon, a former member of the Robbery and Thievery Task Force (RTAF) that was disbanded a few years ago.

RTAF was a police auxiliary group previously attached to the Theft and Robbery Section.

Dealagdon was one of four suspects linked to the kidnapping of Korean Jun Hyun Chung and his live-in partner Charisse last week.

The other suspects are Dealagdon’s cousin,  Gregorio Dealagdon, and Leanardo Bolabon.

The victim, Chung, identified the kidnapping mastermind as another Korean national, Song Sung Heum, 33, who was arrested when he got off the plane at the Mactan Cebu International Airport last week.

All four suspects are facing kidnap-for-ransom charges at the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office./Correspondent Chito O. Aragon
