Robbers kill 27-year-old call center agent in Manila
MANILA, Philippines—A 27-year-old call center agent was killed after he chased two robbers who took his bag on Dimasalang Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila, on Sunday afternoon.
Lyndon Pine sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital. Initial police investigation showed that Pine was waiting for a ride to take him to work when two men on a black motorcycle snatched his bag. Pine ran after them and managed to yank his bag away from the back rider.
His action, however, caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which fell on its side. The robbers then stood up, took out their guns and shot Pine. They later took his bag and fled on their motorcycle.—Maricar B. Brizuela
