Grenade blast

LAOAG CITY– A grenade exploded inside the compound of Ilocos Norte National High School early Saturday, but no one was reported injured. Police have yet to establish who threw the grenade at the school’s extension wing at 1 a.m., said SPO4 Manuel Peñaranda of the city police.

The blast site is a few meters away from a police outpost and the high school main building. It did not damage any of the school’s facilities. A school security guard alerted the police as soon as he heard the blast.
