STABBED OVER DEBT OF P500
FOR refusing to pay his debt, a 49-year-old man was stabbed and wounded by his neighbor in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
Wilfredo Primitiva, a family driver, was stabbed several times in the body.
Police identified the suspect as Rolando Antigua.
An hour before the attack, Antigua went to see Primitiva and pressed him to settle his P500 debt but went home empty handed.
At 6:30 p.m., Primitiva was driving a motorcycle on his way home in Holy Name Street when the suspect blocked his path.

BOYS SHOT DEAD IN BALAMBAN
A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was shot and killed by an unidentified assailant in barangay Abucayan, Balamban town, western Cebu.
The boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the body. He died while being treated at the Balamban District Hospital.
Police said the boy was walking with friends along a road in barangay Sitio Saksak when he was shot from behind past 6 p.m. last Saturday.
Police said the assailant, who was armed with a .45 pistol, hid in the dark portion of the road and waited for the victim to pass by.
Witnesses told police the assailant wore a ball cap, red jacket and denim short pants.
PO2 Godofredo Dumdum of Balamban police said there were accusations that the boy stole motorcycle parts and sold them in junkshops.

MAN NABBED FOR ROBBERY
A MAN accused of robbing a saleslady was arrested in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Mark Anthony Buanghug, 25, was identified by Angie Caparida, 23, as one of the two men who robbed her early morning last Saturday, said police.
Buanghug’s alleged cohort Jerome Cuyos remained at large.
Police said the two men were reportedly members of the Alpha Kappa Rho fraternity.
Caparida told police that the two men boarded the same jeepney that she rode on her way to work around 5 a.m.
The woman said when she got off the jeepney, the two men also got off and followed her.
While Caparida was walking along a road, the two men poked a gun at her and declared a hold-up.
They took the woman’s bag containing P2,000 cash and a cellular phone then fled to sitio Mahayag.
The woman ran to the Subandaku police station to report the robbery.
Subangdaku police later arrested Buanghug.
Chief Insp. Franco Rudolf Oriol, chief of Subangdaku police, said they recovered a loaded .45 caliber pistol from Buanghug. /CORRESPONDENT JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
