THE LEXMARK Stallions barreled their way to the top of the standings while the Calltek Trojans rebounded from a previous loss as they posted separate wins in the 2011 Powerade E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym, last Saturday.
The Stallions tripped the Eperformax reds, 61-51, while the Trojans dominated the Supportsave Dragons, 86-48.
Ellery Ariate tallied 17 points, while Franco Angelo Cipriano netted 12 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and two blocks as the Stallions joined the Convergys Wolves at the top spot with their sixth win in seven games.
Joel Nebria scored 16 markers and Ignatius Loyola contributed 10 for the Reds, which slumped to 4-4 (win-loss).
The Trojans, meanwhile, went unstoppable in offense, getting back on track after its three-game win streak was snapped by the Xlibris Publishers last July 10 via a 58-47 decision.
Aerl Genebraldo led four other teammates in double figures with 19 points, leading Calltek’s sixth win in eight games.
Jan Pierre Gellez came up with 18 points, Christian Judilla listed 12 points and 16 rebounds, while Cedrich Junius Uy and Mark Louise Gellez donated 12 markers apiece.
