MANILA, Philippines – Four armed men robbed Saturday night a businesswoman of some P1 million cash inside her house at a subdivision in Quezon City.
The suspects barged into the Silver Star Trading, a home-based sugar repackaging business owned by 61-year-old Ku Wai Qing, at Diamond Village, Zabarte Extension in Barangay (village) Kaunlaran.
Police Officer 2 Julius Cesar Balbuena of the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) said that the robbery happened around 7:30 p.m. when Qing and her employees had just finished repacking sugar and were resting at the garage.
Two of the men, Balbuena said, asked the businesswoman to lead them to her office located on the house’s second floor. Then the robbers ransacked the room and fled. Jeannette I. Andrade
