The baby was brought to the South General Hospital where she was declared dead by Dr. Mary Jane Abao.

Police said the woman’s live-in partner stays in  Medellin town, north Cebu with their 5-year-old daughter.

Scratches were found on the baby’s  left cheek as well as the forehead of the mother.

Morpos said the mother refused to have an autopsy because she didn’t want the baby cut up.

Enriquez accompanied the police to their house and demonstrated how the incident happened.

Morpos said a charge of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide will be filed against the mother./CORRESPONDENT JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
