The sixth edition of the Mandaue City horror booth promises to be more fun and scarier.
Proceeds for the event dubbed “Kahadluk Mo, Pinaskuhan Ko” will support the annual feeding program and Christmas gift giving for 1,000 indigent children in the city.
The public Halloween exhibit, which has three chambers, will open on Monday, October 29 at the Mandaue Sports Complex and run until November 4.
The entrance fee is P20 per chamber.
Engr. Emeterio Cabilao, president of Kaabag Mandaue Foundation, which is organizing the show, said this year’s exhibit has more suprises.
Sarah Walker-Cortes, wife of Mayor Jonas Cortes and chairperson of Mandaue City’s Committee for the Protection of Children, said the feeding program and distribution of goodies to children will be held on Dec. 21.
Last year, the horror booth raised P279, 414 or double the proceeds of 2010 which reached P162, 963.
Cortes said a bigger yield would mean more gifts for the children this Christmas. About 40 percent of the proceeds are spent for the honoraria of talents in the show.
