/ 04:03 PM July 25, 2011

MANILA, Philippines – Several protest groups are trying to get past police barricades by crossing the southbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City to get to the Batasan Complex where President Benigno Aquino III will deliver his second State of the Nation Address.

Sanlakas, PALEA, Partido ng Manggagawa, among others, have filled up the southbound lanes by staging a program in the middle of the road, forcing motorists to maneuver to get past the protesters, but police have blocked their path.
