Arroyo asks SC to stop plunder proceedings at Sandigan

MANILA, Philippines – Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo asked the Supreme Court to stop the Sandiganbayan from proceeding with the P366-million plunder case against her.

In an 81-page petition for certiorari and prohibition, Arroyo, through lawyer Anacleto Diaz, also asked the high court to reverse the finding of probable cause by the Ombudsman and order the dismissal of the plunder case.
