Cebu netters shine in Dunlop
CEBUANO tennisters clinched two titles in the Dunlop Sport Visayas Junior Tennis Championship 2012-Leg 4 yesterday at the Francisco Dagohoy tennis courts in Inabanga, Bohol.
Cebu’s no.1 junior player Sally Mae Siso grabbed the 18-under girls title while Marc Suson came home with the 12-under boys title.
Siso is making the most of her last days in the junior category by continuing to dominate the sport that she had grown up in.
Siso cruised to the 18 under girls title with straight sets blanking of Dana Uy. She advanced to the final round with a 6-0, 6-0 annihilation of Glaiza Escona.
Suson survived the tough challenge put up by Duma Hakim Boloto, 6-3, 6-7, 10-2, for the 12-under boys title.
He grabbed a finals ticket with a 4-6, 6-2, 10-0 beating of Johnly Milar in the semifinal round. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
