BACOLOD CITY—One of the suspects in the killing of a hotel owner was shot and killed by a still unidentified man while walking here on Sunday, police said.

Raymond Longno, alias “Small Boy,” an alleged gun-for-hire, was shot several times along Malaspina Street in Barangay Villamonte at 6:30 p.m. and died at Bacolod Doctor’s Hospital, said Senior Superintendent Ricardo de la Paz, city police director.

Witnesses had identified Longno as the person walking from the crime scene when businessman Johnny Chua, 63, was killed by a gunman aboard his black car on JV and Burgos Streets while he was on his way home, De la Paz said. Chua, a lawyer, owned Eastview Hotel and Prenda Negrense Pawnshop and Jewelry store.

The Isuzu Alterra car was driven by Chua’s son, Brent Andrew, 24, who told police investigators that he could not describe the killer or tell if he had a companion because he immediately rushed his father to Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital. Carla P. Gomez, Inquirer Visayas
