A TRISIKAD driver died after he was struck by lightning on Friday evening as he was standing near his house in Sibonga town, southern Cebu.
Elerino Quinero, 31, was rushed to the hospital but didn’t make it alive.
Quinero, his wife and children were inside their house in sitio Saksak, barangay Bahay when a thunderstorm broke.
Quinero and his wife went outside to attend the vigil wake of their neighbor.
As they stepped outside the house, Quinero was struck by a lightning bolt and fell to the ground. His body suffered third degree burns. His wife escaped unscathed./Correspondent Gabriel C. Bonjoc
