LAPU-LAPU City Mayor Paz Radaza yesterday said her husband still wants Lapu-Lapu to be a province one day but said they don’t need boxing promoter Rex “Wakee” Salud to be elected mayor in Cordova town to achieve this.

“Yes, it’s still his dream, and if Aileen would be given the chance to be in Congress, Congressman Boy promised to guide her, and they might get to do it,” the mayor said in a press conference yesterday.

Their 28-year-old daughter Aileen is running for the lone congressional district of Lapu-Lapu in lieu of Rep. Arturo “Boy” Radaza whose leg injury and health condition prompted him to set aside a reelection campaign.
