THE visiting Power Forty All Stars crushed the San Jose Basketball Association (SJBA) Selection, 92-81, over the weekend in an invitational game at the Talibon Sports Complex in Talibon, Bohol.
All Stars got a slim, 23-22 lead in the opening period then increased its advantage to six at the half, 43-37 following a 20-15 run.
Another 25-20 rally in the third gave Power Forty an 11-point bubble, 68-57 heading to the fourth quarter where it maintained its advantage.
Vez Eleguin had a game-high 21 points for the Power Forty All Stars while Alex Mercado added 19. R. Odevillo paced the host SJBA with 29 points.
After the game, Mr. Ogie Abangan, the President of SJBA Ball Club awarded trophy and medal to the visiting team led by Vez Eleguin who was named as the Best Player of the Invitational Game. /Correspondent Dale Rosal
