DTI to hold hearing on rationalization of fines

THE Bureau of Trade Regulation and Consumer Protection of the Department of Trade and Industry invites the public to participate in a hearing on the rationalization of fines as provided in the Consumer Act of the Philippines and Law on Standards on Oct. 23 at 1:30 p.m. at Harolds Hotel on Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City.

DTI has drafted a department administrative order entitled: Classifying Administrative Offenses under Consumer Act and the Law on Standards and Rationalization of fines corresponding thereto.

Interested parties may call the DTI Central Visayas provincial offices at (038) 5018260 for Bohol, 4121863 and 2532631 for Cebu, (035) 4222764 for Negros Oriental and (035) 4809065 for Siquijor.

At the DTI 7 regional office, they may inquire from Grace Durano or Gina Pagdalian at tel. no. 255-0036 local 209.
