Magnitude 5.8 quake rattles parts of Sarangani, Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude-5.8 earthquake jolted the southern part of Sarangani on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake, which was tectonic origin and with a depth of 33 kilometers, hit the area at 12:42 p.m.
Phivolcs said the quake’s epicenter was plotted 04.04°N, 124.62°E, 181 km southwest of Sarangani.

Intensity IV was felt in Don Marcelino, Davao del Sur; Intensity III in Malita, Davao del Sur; and Intensity I in General Santos City, the agency added.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks are expected.
