2 children dead in Cebu fire early Wednesday—NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines—Two children died in a fire in Cebu early Wednesday morning, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said in a report.

According to the report, a residential house located in Barangay Catolohan, Dalaguete, Cebu caught fire around 8 in the morning, NDRRMC said.

Two children, identified as Hayden Sidney A. lndig, 4, and John Mark N.  Jorolan, 3, perished in the fire while Harold Manos, 36, suffered injuries, it said.

The fire lasted for four hours and was declared out around 12:30 pm.

Authorities have estimated the cost of damage at around P30,000. The cause of fire has yet to be determined, NDRRMC said.
