Cebuana Toledo joins nat’l team for AFC qualifier

A CEBUANA was included in the Philippine Under 19 team that will see action in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U19 Women’s Championship Qualifiers 2013 today at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

This after Cheska Jane Toledo was named into the roster of the U19 team. This is not the 17 years old’s first time to be part of the national team since she was also a member of the Philippine U16 squad that saw action in the 2011 AFC U16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers.

Here in Cebu, Toledo is a member of the Subangdaku Football Club.

At present, she is a varsity college student of the University of Sto. Tomas  under the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics.

The Philippines will first go up against Hong Kong at 3 p.m. today.

On Friday, the team will be up against Myanmar at 6 p.m. then will face Chinese Taipei on Sunday at 3 p.m.  /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
