SHS-AdC clinches secondary crown in Cesafi football
The Sacred heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) scored a huge upset by wresting the secondary title from perennial champions Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) via a 4-1 decision yesterday in the football competition of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) at the football field of the Cebu City Sports Center.
SHS-AdC is the first team to have beaten DBTC in the Cesafi finals.
Karlo Miguel Villamor scored a hat-trick to tow the SHS-AdC to the title.
Joshua Miguel Kwan drew first blood for the Magis Eagles with his goal in the 15th minute of the first half. Villamor then scored in the 25th, 50th and 67th minutes of the ballgame.
This is the second Cesafi football title for the Magis Eagles.
After finishing with a clean slate in the elimination round, DBTC’s defense crumbled against the Magis Eagles in the finals.
