A P1.4 MILLION ambulance and assorted medical equipment were turned over by Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) during a visit in Cebu City over the weekend.
Trillanes, who said the donation was “a small token of gratification” for his victory in Cebu in 2007, also pledged to donate P1 million in medical assistance to the city hospital.
He said a certain Lorenza Ford asked him to donate an ambulance to the city hospital. Also donated were one small oxygen unit, one medical kit and one stretcher.
The senator said scholarships worth P500,000 will be allocated from his pork barrel. Correspondent Tweeny M. Malinao
