THE DYNAMIC Andrin siblings came up with their usual performances anew to shine in the Two Hearts to Beat Run last Sunday at the Cebu IT Park.
Spearheading the Andrins was 13-year-old Lovely Fe, who topped the female division of the 5k race. The older Jhean settled for second spot in the female 3k race while 10-year-old Cherry placed third in the female 5k category.
Also making waves were the Kenyans, who took the top two spots in the men’s 5k race. Abraham Missous finished first while Douglas Mwiti settled for second place. Third place in the men’s 5k went to Davao City’s Joebert Carolino.
Finishing second in the female 5k race was University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USP-F) ace runner Joeyry Lee.
Jorry Ycong sprinted to the men’s 3k title while Joel Delposo claimed second spot and Kenyan Francis Kakui placed third.
The distaff side of the 3k was topped by Cristy Tutor followed by Jhean Andrin and Aiza Suaybaguio, respectively.
The fund-raising event spearheaded by NCR Runners and Sugbu Triathlon aimed to help the open-heart surgery of Baby Gabrielle Pacana and the post-op expenses of Baby Maven Amora. Both babies, children of NCR employees, are suffering from congenital heart disease. Both babies and their parents were present during the race./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
