MANILA, Philippines—Typhoon Nina’s exit from the Philippine territory has been delayed anew and was forecast to leave by Wednesday, the state weather bureau said.
The cyclone has slightly weakened and was moving north slowly, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Nina was last seen 870 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes and packed maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 160 kph.
It was moving at 5 kph.
The regions of Zamboanga and Davao and the provinces of Palawan, South Cotabato, Lanao Del Norte, Lanao Del Sur and Bukidnon will have light to moderate rains or thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with brief rain showers or thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the north to northwest will prevail over Northern and Eastern Luzon. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Meanwhile, winds will be light to moderate coming from the north to northeast over Western Luzon and southeast to southwest over the rest of the archipelago with slight to moderate seas.
