P20-M worth of ‘shabu’ confiscated in buy-bust operation in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Roughly P20-million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” has been confiscated in an ongoing buy-bust operation at the Baclaran area in Manila Friday afternoon, an official of the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Force said.

Chief Inspector Roque Mergdeguia said one kilo was initially confiscated from the original transaction of undercover agents with the suspects along Coastal Mall. Further search, however, yielded three more kilos.
