MANILA, Philippines—Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on Wednesday said she is hopeful that justice will finally be served to her security aide who was shot to death in Bulacan early this year.

De Lima’s aide, Alister Quintos, 32, was found dead in San Ildefonso, Bulacan last May 11.

On Tuesday, the police arrested a robbery group allegedly responsible for the death of Quintos and for victimizing 25 others.

“Like any victim, Ali and his family cry for justice. It’s time for the wheels of justice to grind in Ali’s case and for the perpetrators to account for what they did with due regard of course to their rights as suspects. On a personal level, I still feel the loss of a very kind-hearted, sweet and loyal security aide that was Ali. We, (myself and other members of my security team and my office staff do miss him),” De Lima said in a text message sent to reporters.
