Cebu prosecutors mark DOJ anniversary

IN line with the 115th anniversary of the Department of Justice (DOJ) last Sept. 26, the Office of the Cebu Provincial Prosecutors-Cebu (OPP-Cebu) headed by Prosecutor Pepita Jane Petralba conducted an outreach program in SM Consolacion, Cebu last Sept. 22.

The program dubbed Access to Justice Project offered services from the different attached agencies of the DOJ and other government agencies to the residents in the mid-northern part of the province.

Services rendered were free notarial services for certificate of live birth and affidavits, free OPP-Cebu clearance and NBI clearance, legal clinic by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Cebu and the Cebu Lady Lawyers Association, information campaign on rabies law and illegal cutting of coconut trees and other new penal laws, legal information drive by Southwestern University Law and University of San Jose-Recoletos Political Science department, inquiries on immigration and anti-rabies information drive by the Department of Health.
